Abstract

The fractional-order PID controller (FPID) arises from the classical PID controller. The only change is the usage of real-order integrator and differentiator (FO operators) instead of first order operators. This paper describes the FPID algorithm which uses improved Oustaloup`s method to obtain the approximations of FO operators. The next problem shown in this article is the discrete realization of FO operators. The last part presents the most current project linked to our FPID controller, the manual adjuster.
