Abstract

This paper deals with newly developed sliding mode controller for heating-cooling processes. Basic principles of the algorithm are explained. The proposed strategy is applied to control of a laboratory heating-cooling model. Several experiments examining closed loop properties are performed. The obtained results are compared with traditional PID control.
