Abstract

The paper deals with a new approach to signal filtering. It is based on the concepts of signal power, signal energy, signal power balance relation, equivalence, etc. An asymptotic filter is proposed with the help of these tools. It is shown in the paper that the well known Wiener-Kalman-Bucy filter can be seen as a special case of the developed asymptotic filter. On the other hand, it also corresponds to a low pass filter from another point of view. The important thing is that the filter eliminates a systematic error from a disturbed signal.
