Abstract

This paper deals with a control of the cart with inverted pendulum using sliding mode control. Firstly, the paper shortly presents the sliding mode control theory. Secondly, the dynamic equations of the model of the cart with the pendulum are introduced. The model is simulated using SimMechanics Toolbox in MATLAB. The main result of this paper is a design of the feedback control using sliding mode control theory.
