Abstract

This paper deals with optimization of stochastic static decision making problem. The decision making problem is described by incomplete stochastic model. Uncertainty of the description is specified by probability distribution of model parameters. The problem formulation unables to use Bayesian approach. Consequently, the minimax optimization will be study here. Using minimax optimization on set of admissible strategies does not necessarily produce a deterministic optimal strategy. Then optimality criterion value can be evaluable. The minimax using locates upper limit and lower limit of expected value of optimality criterion. Illustrative example which shows discussed ideas and relation between model incompleteness and decision process quality. Conclusion summarizes obtained results and looks to followed problems.
