Abstract

Multimodal assistive system intended for people with diverse kinds of physical disabilities is sketched. Six models for processing input and output modalities: natural speech recognition, head position tracking, lips tracking, speech and facial synthesis as well as esophageal voice are studied. Special attention was paid to automatic stenography system for hand-disabled people, which is intended for hands free text input. The complexity of graph topology for Russian vocabulary was reduced by a factor of 17 due to considering the grammatical rules and using lexical tree representation.
