Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a simple Internet tool for PID controller design – Java applet free accessible on www.PIDlab.com. The applet is based on new frequency method of robustness regions. Using this method, one can fulfill general requirements on Nuquist plot shape and (complementary) sensitivity function shape. This approach is suitable especially for any non-oscillatory or slightly oscillatory linear system with dead time. The authors believe that the Java applet will be worthwhile for industrial practitioners.
